ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy” or “AUP”) governs the use of Internet services provided by Boycom Cablevision, Inc. (“Boycom,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Policy is incorporated by reference into Boycom’s Internet Service Terms & Conditions.
1. Introduction
Boycom provides Internet access services to residential and commercial customers. This Policy is intended to protect the integrity, security, reliability, and performance of Boycom’s network and to ensure lawful and appropriate use of the Service.
By using the Service, subscribers agree to comply with this Policy and all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to:
- all subscribers, authorized users, and devices using the Service;
- all activities conducted through the Service, whether initiated by the subscriber or by third parties using the subscriber’s connection; and
- all equipment, systems, and networks connected to or using Boycom’s network.
Subscribers are responsible for all use of the Service associated with their account.
3. Prohibited Activities
Subscribers may not use the Service for activities that are illegal, harmful, abusive, or interfere with Boycom’s network or other users.
A. General Prohibitions
Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- violating any local, state, federal, or international law or regulation;
- transmitting or distributing unlawful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or fraudulent material;
- engaging in harassment, stalking, or intimidation;
- reselling or redistributing the Service without authorization;
- using the Service in a manner that interferes with or disrupts network operations.
B. Intellectual Property Rights
Subscribers may not:
- upload, download, distribute, or share content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual property rights;
- assist or encourage infringement by others.
C. Child Pornography and Exploitation
The use of the Service to create, transmit, distribute, access, or store child sexual abuse material or any content involving the exploitation of minors is strictly prohibited.
Boycom will report suspected violations to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
D. E-mail and Related Services
Subscribers may not:
- send spam, unsolicited bulk e-mail, or unsolicited commercial messages;
- operate open mail relays or proxy services;
- falsify or forge e-mail headers or sender information;
- engage in phishing or other deceptive messaging practices.
E. Hacking and Attacks
Subscribers may not:
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to computers, accounts, networks, or data;
- engage in denial-of-service attacks, port scanning, malware distribution, or network probing;
- interfere with or compromise network security measures.
F. Network Management
Subscribers may not:
- use the Service in a manner that consumes excessive bandwidth or network resources to the detriment of other users;
- attempt to circumvent network management, security, or usage-control mechanisms;
- use the Service to host servers or applications that materially degrade network performance without authorization.
Boycom reserves the right to manage network traffic to maintain service quality and security.
4. Consequences for Activities in Violation of this Policy
A. Suspension and/or Termination
Boycom may, at its discretion and without prior notice where appropriate:
- ·suspend or terminate Service;
- · block or restrict access to content, services, or ports;
- ·remove or disable access to offending material.
Suspension or termination may occur immediately for serious or repeated violations.
B. Charges
Subscribers may be responsible for:
- costs incurred by Boycom to investigate or remediate violations;
- charges for excessive network usage or damage to the network;
- legal or regulatory penalties resulting from prohibited activities.
5. Privacy and Internet Security
Subscribers are responsible for securing their devices, networks, and software.
Boycom:
- does not monitor the content of Internet communications;
- may collect diagnostic and operational data to manage and secure the network;
- is not responsible for data loss, unauthorized access, or security breaches resulting from subscriber actions, malware, or third-party activity.
6. Account Usage
A. Usage
Subscribers are responsible for all usage of the Service under their account, whether authorized or unauthorized.
B. Passwords
Subscribers must:
· maintain the confidentiality of account credentials;
· promptly notify Boycom of suspected unauthorized access or security breaches.
Boycom is not responsible for losses resulting from compromised passwords or account misuse.
C. Internet Software
Subscribers are responsible for installing, maintaining, and updating Internet software, security tools, and antivirus protections on their devices.
Boycom does not provide guarantees regarding the compatibility or security of subscriber-owned software or devices.
7. Copyright Complaints
Boycom complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”).
Upon receipt of a valid copyright infringement notice, Boycom may:
- forward the notice to the subscriber;
- · suspend or terminate Service for repeated infringement;
- · take actions required by law.
Subscribers may submit counter-notifications as permitted by law.

This Policy is governed by and enforced in conjunction with Boycom’s Internet Service Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict, the Terms & Conditions control.
